Jakarta - Tak ada kejutan besar dalam susunan skuad resmi Inggris. Yang menarik, Andy Carroll tampaknya akan jadi andalan di lini depan bersama Wayne Rooney--usai menjalani hukumannya.

Total 23 nama sudah ditunjuk oleh Manajer Roy Hodgson. Scott Parker, Danny Welbeck dan Glen Johnson tetap dipertahankan meski adanya kerisauan mengenai kondisi kebugaran akibat cedera.

Sementara Phil Jagielka ditunjuk menggantikan Gareth Barry, yang sebelumnya harus menepi karena cedera. Sedangkan kiper Jack Butland menggantikan John Ruddy yang mengalami cedera jari tangan dalam latihan pekan lalu. Demikian dikutip Sportinglife.

Selain pengumuman skuad, Hodgson juga sudah mengonfirmasi nomor punggung untuk para pemain tersebut. Carroll kebagian jatah nomor 9, nomor yang acapkali dihubungkan dengan sosok penyerang tengah. Nomor tersebut juga suda dikenakan Carroll dalam laga ujicoba kontra Norwegia lalu.

Hal ini boleh jadi merupakan indikasi bahwa Carroll akan menjadi pilihan pertama di lini depan 'Tiga Singa', khususnya di dua laga pertama melawan Prancis dan Swedia, ketika Rooney yang merupakan penyerang andalan Inggris masih harus absen karena menjalani hukuman.
